Capcom: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Coming ‘Very Soon’

Posted on Nov 14

Capcom seems to realize just how patiently we’ve all been waiting for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, and though their latest communique on the title only says it’s coming “very soon,” they’ve offered some new screenshots to dissuade any of you from keying their cars.

In case you missed Capcom’s April 2007 announcement, Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix is a gorgeously re-imagined Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo that includes new, high-resolution artwork courtesy of UDON Entertainment (the people who created the gorgeous Street Fighter comic book series).

Hopefully Capcom’s definition of “very soon” means sometime before Christmas, but after a year and a half of waiting, we’ve stopped holding our breath.

Capcom confirms that a playable demo is ‘in the cards.’
By GameSpy Staff

Eurogamer recently posted an updated hands-on impressions piece with Capcom’s highly anticipated Resident Evil 5. Producer Jun Takeuchi spoke in regards to a playable demo of the game that would presumably hit Xbox Live and PlayStation Network.

“We’ll be making an announcement about that relatively soon,” he says. And what about downloadable content? “That’s one of the things we’re thinking about right now. We do get that question a lot, and people seem to want it, so it’s possible that it’s something we would like to respond to.

While there are no details as to when the demo will arrive, the current North American release date for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 remains March 13th, 2009.
